How To Celebrate Your 41st Birthday

"Look out your window, see what you can see"... these are the words (sung) that you should hear upon waking up. Around 5:30 am is good enough after sleeping late the previous night due to some work deadlines. The song stops there for your choir does not know the rest of the song. All they know was that this song is sung during mananitas. But that's good enough. Then you get hugs from all and everybody goes back to sleep as it's supposed to be a Saturday and it's good to linger in bed more.

Cellphone vibrates for some text greetings but then goes off due to drained battery. So you will have to get up and charge it knowing that you will be receiving more text messages from well-wishers and all. Outlet is blocked by the lazy body of your eldest son who inserted himself into your room. Everybody wanted to be in the company of everybody on this special day. So, you decide to charge your phone outside. Then you get back to bed. Hubby gets his shower and prepares for breakfast. He does? Yes he does because he likes to eat breakfast while the rest of the family is content with more sleep and maybe, a glass of milk and some cereals later.

Your birthday morning is best spent preparing for the seminar you are to conduct in the afternoon. You need to present two more chapters of the God's Global Glory Seminar, the ones which you missed the previous Saturday because of your fever, cough and colds. This Saturday, you need to wish that you will still have an audience considering that they came the other Saturday.

After review, what can be better than spending some time alone with God? Ahh... the presence of the Lord is just awesome. He tells you that as long as you have life within you, the breath of God in your nostrils, your lips will not speak wickedness, and your tongue will utter no deceit (Job 27: 3-4). What a wonderful reminder. What a wonderful birthday reminder!

After lunch, you get ready for the seminar. Well, at least you have 4 lady-audience. Believe that these are God-appointed souls. God has prepared them to hear the rest of the seminar. God has a special purpose for them. The passion is there. Feel the fire for God's glory to be shared to your audience. Feel the presence of the Holy Spirit for them to catch the vision for mission. Be excited, be expectant. God is paving the way for more missions partners.

What's next on your birthday? Well, the much awaited dinner with the family. Everybody's ready to go Yellow Cab for some pizza. Oh! Wow! 18" Manhattan Meat Lovers and Family Size Four Seasons! Isn't that too much for a family of six? Not so! Just a few slices were left. Good for lunch tomorrow for 3 or 4 people.

And oh! They kids are so sweet. They pulled their allowances together and bought you a gift!

Hubby has to hurry back as he still has to prepare his sermon for the following day, Sunday. You and the kids are left to linger at the mall. You go to Digital Hub and play with Ipods and Mac's. Then you go to more shops to satisfy your hungry eyes for material possessions. The Samsung LCD screen was a sure winner at P139,000. Hmmm... it would not fit in my livingroom anyway! I would just settle with my good ole 21' TV. It's a Samsung, too and his service is great.

Then the youngest son insists that you eat some Crepes and Cream. Oh well, it's your birthday anyway so you better indulge. And it was really cool hanging out with your kids. They played bato-bato-pik while sharing just two cones of ice cream. You just love the crepes there. It says it all.

Then you hurry home and you feel your tummy is bursting. Did you pass your daily visit again? Oh you! So lazy to sit for a few minutes to let those bad emotions and stuff all out of your system. You should discipline yourself to do that daily visit. It's what healthy people should do. Are you healthy anyway? You haven't been exercising lately. You sit on your butt all day in your computer doing virtual assistance. Your son always reminds you to sweat out a little. In fact he reminded you to close shop today since it's your birthday. But you just can't resist to work even on days like today.

So how was your day? It has ended. You praise the Lord for another year of glory, of ministry, of love and of service.

And oh, lest you forget... Early this morning, somebody took your cellphone from your livingroom. You were unable to identify the thief. It's a lesson to always lock the door when nobody's in the living room.

Oh, it's just a Samsung Z720 (3G, 3 megapixel camera flip phone). YOu barely used it anyway. Not much text activity lately. God will replace what you lost. Be still
.
