Homeschooling

Today I started a modified two-week homeschooling for my kids, Jae and Keanny. This is just in transition for our relocation to Hinunangan, So. Leyte at the end of this month. Since their school records for the transfer will up to the second grading period, then they stopped attending school at the start of the third grading. However, since we haven't relocated yet then they need to continue the school atmosphere.

I actually don't know how to do it especially that their textbooks are not designed for homeschooling. But anyway, I am not a very strict teacher lol so we can always modify it according to our own pace.

Today we did English where they read a short story and told it in their own words. It was a good exercise both for reading and speaking. Keanny did science (earth and it's structure) while Jae did chemistry (compound minerals). After that they did Typing tutor - a good way of learning how to type properly.

We also laid out our plans for the week. Tomorrow we will go to Fort Santiago. Wednesday will be Culinary arts day. Thursday will be field trip to the Department of Foreign Affairs as we apply for their passport. Friday is still open.

I hope we enjoy the last two weeks of our Manila life while continuing to learn their lessons at home.
